AC Systems for Any Application

Homeowners choose Gilbert ductless mini split systems for many reasons. Since these systems do not require ductwork, they are an excellent choice for a home without a duct system, old ductwork, or for individual rooms and other challenging spaces.

The advantages of ductless systems include:

  • Energy efficiency – Ductless mini split systems offer better energy efficiency than traditional AC systems due to their smaller size and there is no loss of conditioned air since the cool air is delivered directly into the room.
  • Lower utility bills – Utility costs have risen in recent years, which makes the energy efficiency of ductless mini splits attractive. The better energy efficiency ratings of ductless systems can have a big impact on lowering your monthly utility costs.
  • Greater control – Each air handler delivers cooled air to one room or area of the home. This allows for individual temperature control in different areas of the home for greater control over your indoor environment.
  • Quiet operation – Ductless systems are much quieter than window units and many central AC systems.
  • Versatility – Ductless systems can be designed to cool one room or the whole house. You can install several air handlers with each outdoor unit to easily create a system with multiple zones

Each room or area of the house will need an air handler unit to deliver the conditioned air. There are air handlers in a variety of attractive designs that can be mounted on the top of the walls or ceiling.

“The team over at Affirmative Air was amazing. They were quick to respond and come to our property, quick to accurately diagnose, and extremely fast to fix our air conditioner. I am truly grateful to Rocky and the team over at Affirmative Air.”

How Ductless Systems Work

A ductless mini split is a smaller version of a heat pump. There are systems that offer only air conditioning or both AC and heating like a traditional heat pump. The system transfers heat between your home and the outdoors. In the summer, the system removes heat from the air inside and transfers it outside to cool the house.

When the air needs to be warmed in the winter, the system uses refrigerant vapor to collect heat from the air outside and move it indoors to warm the house. This provides the advantage of heating and cooling the space with one system.
